She is very knowledgeable with ADD, very professional and a great communicator. As she and I have become closer in coaching, I have come to realize she sincerely wants to help people and is just a good, fair, genuine person. I really value our coaching time and I believe you will too." - Lisa Girdley, Mary Kay Representative
![]() "After working with Debbie for the past year, I have seen my own awareness improve. In the past, I might think about an issue, but then it would go by the wayside. Working with Debbie makes these thoughts concrete. Her questions probe my being in a way that I could not do it by myself. Her listening skills are phenomenal! Basically, working with Debbie has increased my awareness about myself, what I like, what I don't like, and it has given me the opportunity to really let me be me. Thank you, Debbie a million times!" - Dale Keator, professional artist and designer

"I want to thank you so much for our time spent together coaching last year!! You helped me out of my rut and gain clarity in what I wanted to do with my life!! Yesterday I gave my notice at my current job to pursue my dream of working with dogs and their people. I start working full time at All Dog Adventures on Wednesday, April 15. There is a bigger plan that I can't share yet, but I'm thrilled to announce that this is just the beginning. I couldn't be more excited about changing jobs! It is the FIRST time ever in my life that I am taking a job to pursue something that I am truly passionate about. :) Our time together was not and has not been wasted on me. I have you in my thoughts every time I take a few minutes to purge here and there. It's like collecting pennies. It may not seem like a lot, but before you know it the accumulative effort makes a difference. I guess that can be said about dog training or anything else that we pursue in life." - M. Parrish
"I wanted to share my recent success with the "accomplish your goals with accountability." My weight and my health as I get older has been one of my frustrations. I had become twice the woman that I used to be. I finally got it in my head to do something about it. Next, I connected with a friend, whom I knew was actively working out. Since February, we have been workout partners consistently meeting 3 times a week. To date, I have lost 10 inches in my waist. I've focused more on my measurements than my actual weight since I know lifting weights converts fat to muscle. I'm finding that I need to work out for my mental health as well....and it has been a great outlet outside the all consuming dog world. ;) I have a goal to bench press 100 lbs. by the time I turn 50 years old in September. To date, my personal record is benching 80 lbs. So, it is doable.:) Again, thanks for getting me unstuck so many years ago. I'm still moving forward. Some days, the journey is slower than others, but I keep plugging along." - M. Griffith
"I have thought of you so many times this year. You have no idea how much the lessons from your coaching helped me be a better partner when I got my chance with Rachel. The ripples from what you do go far." - Julie Difazio
"Thank you so much Debbie! I love coaching with you! You are a wonderful and very skilled coach. I always feel like I’m in a powerful, very natural conversation with you when you’re coaching me. " - Cheryl Susman, ADHD coach

Rock, Scissors, Paper - Understanding How Environment Affects Your Performance![]() "Debbie Bowie writes eloquently about a subject which has been near and dear to my heart for 30+ years--helping individuals and organizations create and sustain a 'productive environment™' . If you're feeling overwhelmed, find a place you like to be, with a copy of Rock Scissors Paper, and you'll be on the path to a life you can love!" - Barbara Hemphill aka Paper Tiger Lady, Founder, Productive Environment Institute

"I've known Debbie Bowie, organizer and feng shui expert, for many years now. As a pretty organized person, though, I've never taken the time to hire her. Silly me. This past weekend I started reading Debbie's book. It's a fast read so I finished it one sitting. I was so moved that I got off the couch, packed a few items in the car and drove to my office at 4:30 pm on a Saturday evening. I spent the next three hours redoing my office, throwing out junk and moving furniture. I even tackled the dreaded storage closet that was stacked with piles of junk. Since then, I love my office. I'm more efficient and I've closed two big sales since then. Can environment affect your performance? You bet it can. I can't recommend Debbie's book highly enough. I loved it so much I bought copies for all of my new strategic planning clients. Business people NEED this book!" - Laura Posey, Profit Consultant, author of Six Secrets of Sales Magnets

"I began reading Rock Scissors Paper as a person discouraged with the un-togetherness of some of my stuff. I have closets that are waaaaaaaaay too full. I was also a little skeptical that anyone could tell you how to pull it all together and prevent it getting back into an un-together state. I was wrong. Debbie Bowie tells you why your stuff is not together (very helpful) and why you need to get it together. She provides a process to accomplish the goal and a process to avoid having to do it all over again. Wonderful book. Quick read. Easy to understand. I highly recommend it!" - Pam Rambo, Research Consultant

"What a great book. This book is a must-read for anyone wanting to increase their effectiveness! It's compact and an easy read but it packs a punch. The author directs the reader to pay attention to and evaluate the effectiveness of our environment. Every thing in our physical space makes a difference because of the mental associations we attach to those things. If we're not careful, those associations can be negative and can severely undermine our effectiveness without us even realizing it! As a business owner, maximizing my effectiveness is critical to the health and well-being of my business. I highly recommend buying this book and following the author's recommendations. I now read a little bit of the book every day to remind myself to pay attention to the energy of (aka, my associations with) the things in my space and that my physical environment has an impact on my performance on a daily basis!" - Fiona Marissa, Better Edit

"Make this book your desktop companion. Refer to it often and you will not only feel better,

"I was so impressed by the book's simple approach to organizing. The chapters and sections are organized in a manner that keep your interest and are easy to follow! Once I started reading this book I could not put it down until I finished it and then I proceeded to start clearing out one of my rooms that holds all my bills and papers! I was so motivated that I spent several hours late into the night clearing and organizing. Once I completed my task I felt like I had accomplished so much. I have repeated these steps in other areas and I know it has kept me moving forward by removing those stumbling blocks which we are so unaware of. Debbie Bowie's book can help anyone become more successful at home or at work. Her stories will strike a cord with you. I highly recommend this book to anyone working in the home or outside the home--in other words-everyone!" - Nina Newton, Long & Foster Realtor
"As an owner of a tire and auto repair shop I am constantly bombarded with mess. I had no idea how until I read Debbie Bowie's book. Once I saw the connection I could not wait to get started. So often you become blind to your surroundings but you are being influenced by them whether you know it or not. So read this book and free yourself and the people around you from the meaningless and counter-productive stuff you don't need anymore and fill those spaces with what you love. Your life will be better for it. I highly recommend this book. I bought a copy for my parents as well. It may just be the motivation and direction you've been waiting for." - Will Cordle, Buffalo Tire Richmond
"Rock Scissors Paper is a jewel of book. Its small size is not reflective of the wealth of information found among the pages. Ms. Bowie's organizational skills have obviously served her well in its planning and lay-out. Her use of clear headings, bullet points, and chapter placement make the book easy to read. I believe that the design of a book is as important as placing furniture in a room. Of course, no matter how visually attractive a book is, the quality of the content is what really counts. Rock Scissors Paper does not disappoint. Ms. Bowie's paramount hypothesis is that our environment affects our performance, and she successfully supports and illustrates this throughout the book. It is a wonderful combination of ergonomics, psychology, advice, and a touch of Zen Buddhism. What impressed me the most about the author is her sensitivity to the emotional needs of her clients. Just as psyche and soma are directly related, so are our emotions and the environment. A change in one may affect the other. The practical and simple suggestions found in Rock Scissors Paper can be incorporated by all of us. I hope Ms. Bowie is planning a second book as a follow-up; I will be the first in line to purchase it." - Frederic Tate
"Debbie Bowie's book Rock Scissors Paper may well be the answer to your organizational needs. Many find that as their schedules get crowded they are unable to cope with the pressures of growth and find themselves paralyzed. This in turn prevents them from being successful. By following the simple techniques that Debbie outlines you can break free of the mental and sometimes physical blocks that keep one from moving forward. In an easy to follow, neatly laid out fashion Debbie provides you with the tools to keep moving forward. I have used her principles for years and my income and self satisfaction continue to grow. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to enhance the quality of their lives.: - Thriving in Virginia
